"The goal of the Cambodia Jiu-Jitsu Federation is not only a sports mission, but also wants to contribute to the production, urging, and development of human resources and human capital through professional skills, that is, to contribute to acting as a factory for producing human resources for Cambodian society. Jiu-Jitsu trainees are not only able to compete well, but also have discipline and a sense of responsibility and can do many jobs beyond sports." This was explained by Mr. Sam Oun Boramey, Secretary General of the Cambodia Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
Meanwhile, the above expert stated at the closing ceremony of the 2025 National Jiu-Jitsu Championship on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the Royal University of Phnom Penh that the vision in mission, and future plans of the Cambodia Jiu-Jitsu Federation must expand the scope of in-depth development to reach the state and private educational institutions, which this plan has initiated and cooperated with a special partner.
Around the scope expansion of the educational institutions, Mr. Sam Oun Boramey added that, the first step, the federation plans to send coaches to train in schools in Phnom Penh, and followed by Siem Reap and Kandal provinces before moving to other provinces. After this, the federation will also help train physical education teachers in the basics of Jiu-Jitsu to be able to train students. Any teachers who do well may receive additional support from the federation. Regarding, Jiu-Jitsu players who are students can also participate in sharing their martial arts with their schoolmates.
Please inform that, competition of the 2025 Jiu-Jitsu National Championship has increased the number of male and female athletes to 230 persons from 18 clubs. When the first national championship was organized in 2022, there were only 7 clubs with a total of 65 male and female athletes, but the number of athletes has continued to increase steadily in subsequent years.
