Ministry of Education convenes detailed meeting on selection of athletes for SEA Games in Thailand

In the morning of July 18, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports convened the 37 national federations for a detailed meeting on the selection of athletes to prepare for the 2025 SEA Games later this year in Thailand. While the selection focuses on the ability and results obtained from the previous time and the possibility to win medals in the upcoming competitions, the commission encourages athletes to continue their training efforts.

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, said after the meeting: The 37 federations that have athletes participating will be fully prepared and wait to hear the instructions from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, about other situations which related and instructions from the Royal Government if any problems may arise.

But separately, for the administrative process, such as registration, etc., it is running normally, without any inconvenience. What needs to be done is to maintain the situation and communication as normal to participate warmly.




H.E. Vath Chamroeun further emphasized that, the athletes with good abilities are expected to win medals, which is a priority for selection to the SEA Games. Therefore, His Excellency encouraged athletes to work hard because those who have won bronze medals should at least try to win a silver medal, and those who have won silver medals should try to win a gold medal.
