NOCC and ABA Collaboration Shows Transparency in Seeking Sponsorship to Support Cambodian Athletes in Preparing for the 2028 Olympics

On Monday morning, January 19, 2026, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, attended the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with ABA Bank on a campaign to raise funds for Cambodian athletes in preparing for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California, USA.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun said that in this collaboration, ABA Bank will establish an account for the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia to receive sponsorship from companies and the public. At the same time, ABA will also call on its customers and other companies to support this mission.

His Excellency the Secretary General of the NOCC further stated that, in this collaboration, ABA will help to make the fundraising process transparent for participants, both the public and sponsors. ABA is also the first company to support the fundraising campaign and support the Cambodian athletes in preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games.

Please remind that, on January 14, 2026, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) announcing the launch of a campaign to collaborate and seek sponsorship for Cambodian athletes in preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California, USA. This is the beginning of a fundraising program from several American companies as well as philanthropists and companies to support Cambodian Olympic athletes.
