Tennis athletes from 21 countries praised and highly evaluated the preparations of the host country Cambodia

Phnom Penh: After the Tennis competition of the 30th Annual Tep Kunnah Memorial Cup 2025 at the first week has ended successfully this past weekend, approximately 21 participating athletes praised and highly evaluate the warm and joyful preparations of the host country Cambodia.

The Secretary General of the Cambodia Tennis Federation, Mr. Tep Rithiwit said that: The Tennis Competition of the 30th Tep Kunnah Memorial Cup concluded the event in the first week, which took place from November 10-15, and the second week began from November 16-21, 2025. He added that, this competition has 52 athletes from 21 countries with high technical levels, focusing on young athletes, while the host country, Cambodia, has three athletes competing with the international athletes to gain experience and improve their technical quality further.

The Cup of Tep Khunnah, which was held in memory of Mr. Tep Khunnah, a former Cambodian tennis athlete in the 1960s and the father of Mr. Tep Rithiwit, currently the Secretary General of the Cambodia Tennis Federation. Now has received support from the International Tennis Federation, while delegates and athletes who from 21 countries praised and highly evaluated the warm and joyful preparations of the host country, Cambodia.

The Secretary General emphasized that, the international federations and delegates from various countries have high confidence in Cambodia’s peace and security, as well as the quality of the preparations of the Cambodia Tennis Federation, because Cambodia has hosted many events. 

Regarding the three participating Cambodian athletes, the Secretary General highlighted that, they were not only able to compete with international competitors, but also won some matches, so he saw the progress and technical quality of Cambodian athletes improving.

It should also be noted that, the second week of competition is continuing with tough competition from November 16-21, 2025 at the Morodok Techo National Stadium.
