A player Phok Daninel remained hopeful after a female player losing on first day at the Asian Youth Games

Bahrain: A Cambodian Pencaksilat female player, Det Sreyyal, missed out on a chance to compete for medal at the Asian Youth Games in the Kingdom of Bahrain after losing on the opening day in the evening of October 19, 2025.

Speaking to NOCC reporters after the end of the competition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Vitara, the Cambodia Pencaksilat coach, highlighted that the results obtained for the Asian Youth Games can be said to be good result, even though we lost the opportunity for Det Sreyyal to advance to the next round. Because of this loss, we tried our best and we won 3 rounds. We can say that the results were good for the novice female player.

The coach also stated that, for Cambodia Pencaksilat, there is still hope for a male player Phok Daninel, who has been drawn to compete in the semi-finals on the 20th at 10:00 am, and will face an Indonesia martial artist owner in the 5th round.

In this Youth Games Event, Cambodia Pencaksilat sent 3 coach and athletes to compete, including coach Vita Ra and 2 athletes, a male player Phok Daninel and a female player Det Srey Yal.

For Cambodia Pencaksilat, in the event of the 3rd Asian Youth Games in the Kingdom of Bahrain, this is the first competition among 14 sports of the Kingdom of Cambodia from 19 to 20 October 2025.
