Discipline and dignity are the principles that young Cambodian athletes must adhere to when competing in Bahrain

On Monday morning, October 13, 2025, during a meeting with young Cambodian athletes who will compete in the 2025 Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, from October 22 to 31, H.E.Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, urged all athletes to adhere to discipline, dignity, and mutual respect with athletes from other countries.

“As the host of the 2029 Games, we must take this opportunity to demonstrate discipline, morality, respect for the rules and customs, and do not say something bad to athletes who have poor relations with us, in order to show maturity and ensure Cambodia’s prestige on the international stage.” This was stated by His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister.
