Phnom Penh: All athletes who will participate in the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain after receiving a two-day training on “Discipline and Ethics” must be very careful about using information on social media and must adhere to ethics, because if we are not satisfied with something during the event and we publish information on social media, it will affect the entire Cambodia team, both its reputation and honor.

This was stated by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, H.E. Vath Chamroeun, at the closing ceremony of the seminar on “Discipline and Ethics” at the National Sports Training Center.

His Excellency also emphasized that, Cambodia athletes during the competition should only post information on social media to show their happiness, training and competition activities, and must avoid using social media to express their feelings, to criticize this person, to criticize this person or that person, and to be unwilling to know and not to be happy. All these actions do not provide any benefit to our Cambodia team. On the contrary, it only brings about ignorance that harms Cambodia's image.

At the same time, H.E. Vath Chamroeun reminded all Cambodia athletes to prepare themselves thoroughly before going out to compete, not to forget anything by the result of winning or losing without competing, especially to train harder and improve their abilities more vigorously after completing this workshop until the day of the competition. His Excellency hopes and believes that unity in the spirit of sports, combined with the efforts of the athletes themselves, will definitely bring good results to the nation.
