H.E. Noy Phana: Coaches are important figures in guiding the path of athletes

At the closing ceremony of the Olympic Solidarity Course on Level 1 Triathlon Coaches on Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2025 at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, H.E. Noy Phana, representative of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, highly appreciated this important course that provided both theory and practical importance to the participants.

H.E. Noy Phana also highlighted the value of coaches as important figures in guiding the path of athletes because they not only train skills but also provide knowledge. His Excellency hopes that all participants will better understand their role as coaches. H.E. Noy Phana also reminded athletes of the disadvantages of using banned substances, which can affect their sports careers.

 

It should confirm that: There are 25 participants who are coaches, including 5 Vietnamese nationals, have completed the Olympic Solidarity Course on Level 1 Triathlon Coaches, which was held from October 1 to 5, 2025.

This important training course was conducted through the Olympic Solidarity and World Triathlon projects, with the participation of two trainers who from the World Triathlon Federation, Mr. ANTHONY LOZADA and Ms. PHAM THUY VI.

 

Mr. Ngin Sopanha, Secretary General of the Cambodia Triathlon Federation, said that this training course is different from previous courses because there are international-level trainers who come to teach directly, which is an opportunity for all participants to learn new knowledge about international rules and regulations, as an investment in contributing to the training of human resources towards the development and expansion of triathlon potential in Cambodia, especially the training of young athletes in preparation for hosting the 2029 Asian Youth Games. He has also thanked the participants and instructors for dedicating their time to participate.

At the same time, Mr. Anthony Lozada and Ms. Pham Thuy Vi have praised the efforts of the participants who are coaches in studying and completing many lessons. Not only that all the participants has also shown good cooperation in the past. As a result, the participants received good results of 70 percent, average results of 20 percent, and poor results of 10 percent.
