H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, said that the event still continues the running campaign to raise awareness and prevent the breast cancer in women. His Excellency said that in the past two campaigns, in 2023 and 2024, more women and the public have become aware of the problem of breast cancer. In fact, on each race day, many women participated in screening for the disease at the designated locations.

Because of this, for 2025, three days before the competition, the commission will set up a free screening booth so that women across the country can participate. Another important purpose of the AIA Pink Run, H.E. Vath Chamroeun said that, is also a campaign to support various charitable organizations.

Mr. Sem Phalla, head of the Cambodia Marathon Organizing Commission, said that as of the press conference on July 14, nearly 1,300 people had registered for the 10km, 5km and 2.5km events, while the total number of participants in 2024 was nearly 4,000. For 2025, the organizing commission expects 5,000 participants.

Ms. Jane Tay, General Director of AIA Cambodia, said that the AIA Pink Run has greatly contributed to raising awareness among women and preventing breast cancer. At the same time, the partnership with the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia has also promoted high efficiency.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun called on both women and the public to participate in the AIA Pink Run to promote the public health and avoid various diseases.
