Bun Sothea meets Ya Sin for to win the belt with $10,000 on January 18

Lightweight fighter Bun Sothea, a player of coach Thun Sophea, will face Eran fighter Pen Kak Ya Sin, a player of coach Sen Bun Thein, on January 18, 2026, in the final to win the belt with a $10,000 prize.

The meeting to get the belt with a $10,000 US prize Bun Sothea, the strong player with weight of 55kg, was very excited about the fight for the belt and $10,000 prize after missing the match due to border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand. Bun Sothea said that after knowing about the specific date of the competition on January 18, 2026, he was ready to face Ya Sin. This is his third fight against Ya Sin, as he has lost the previous two. However, this third time with the big money fight so he will fight with all his best, as this will be his last fight with Ya Sin. At the same time, Bun Sothea has said to coach Sen Bun Thein to be careful about Ya Sin's weight. Because he is overweight, the belt and the $10,000 prize money will fall on his hands.

Mr. Sen Bun Thein, the coach of foreign player Ya Sin, revealed in a message to player Bun Sothea that Ya Sin will not miss the competition because of being overweight. He said that Ya Sin trains regularly every day and monitors his weight in detail. Until the day of the weigh-in, Ya Sin only has 54 kg left.

Please note that, the competition for winning the belt with the $10,000 prize money has four participating players: Bun Sothea, Pong Theary, Keum Sovann Khim, and Eran player Pen Kak Yasin, competing in a marathon format. Before Bun Sothea advanced to the finals has to face Yasin on January 18, 2026, Bun Sothea defeated Pong Theary, while Pen Kak Yasin defeated Keum Sovann Khim.

Please remind that, the player Pen Kak Yasin has defeated Bun Sothea twice before, winning the first match in a friendly match and winning the second match to get a belt, while the third match could be the last meeting between the two fighters, with both sides showing high expectations.
