Mr. Casey Barnett, Vice President of the Cambodia Wrestling Federation said that, the Competition of the 2025 National Wrestling Championship has increased in participation in clubs, provinces and youth.
In fact, just for Kampong Chhnang province alone has 5 participating clubs, and new provinces such as Tbong Khmum and Takeo provinces have a total of 14 participating clubs, while the number of youth athletes has also increased. This shows the growth of wrestling in Cambodia.
Mr. Casey Barnett emphasized that: This progress would not have been possible without the efforts of clubs in various provinces, as well as relevant officials of the Cambodia Wrestling Federation.
The Competition of the 2025 National Wrestling Championship was held from January 3 to 5, 2026 at the Wrestling Hall of the National Olympic Stadium. As a result, the wrestling team of the Ministry of Interior won a total of 19 medals, including 6 gold, 4 silver and 9 bronze medals, ranking first. The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces ranked second with 1gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals, for a total of 9 medals. Tbong Khmum province ranked third with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, for a total of 3 medals.
